At TA Associates, your objectives determine the structure of our investment. Whether your goal is to buy or sell a company, diversify your net worth by selling some of your equity ownership or raise capital to continue growing your business, we will work with you to determine the most creative and beneficial structure that meets your objectives.

While TA is most often the lead investor, we are usually a minority investor (i.e., without voting control). We provide strategic guidance and advice through board participation and leave the day-to-day operations of the company under management’s control.

TA provides equity and debt capital for various structures through a substantial capital base:

• $12 billion of committed capital, including $6 billion in actively investing funds
• Equity investments range from $50 million to $600 million
• Subordinated debt investments generally range from $10 million to $75 million
• Larger financings can be arranged through direct participation by TA Associates' Limited Partners, which include major pension funds, university endowment funds, and U.S. and international financial institutions.
